North
Carolina Psychology Board Selects LaserGrade to
Deliver State Examination
Vancouver,
WA - May
2, 2006 LaserGrade announced today that the
North Carolina Psychology Board has selected
LaserGrade to deliver their state psychology
examination. LaserGrade will convert the state’s
current paper and pencil examination to computer-based
delivery throughout the state. North Carolina law
requires that all psychologists practicing in the
State of North Carolina pass both state and national
examinations.
Judith Moore, President and CEO of LaserGrade
stated, “We are pleased that the North Carolina
Psychology Board has chosen LaserGrade to convert and
deliver their state examination. We look forward to
delivering the exam that fairly and accurately
measures a candidate’s knowledge and understanding
of the requirements to practice psychology in North
Carolina.”
The North Carolina Psychology Board’s Executive
Director, Martha Storie, stated “The Board decided
LaserGrade was a perfect fit. LaserGrade quickly
converted the Board’s exam to be offered via
computer, keeping us current with technology and “in
sync” with the national exam already being offered
via computer. Their test center network allows our
candidates to test six days a week throughout the
year. Additionally, candidates living near the borders
of South Carolina, Virginia or Tennessee can test in
those states if that is more convenient for them. In
fact, candidates from other states moving to North
Carolina can now take the Board’s state exam, in the
state they currently reside, at a LaserGrade Test
Center, prior to moving to North Carolina.”
