National National Alliance of Wound Care® (NAWC®)


Tests Available:

WCC® Wound Care Certification Exam

Eligibility:

Applicants for the WCC® Wound Care Certification Examination must meet all of the following criteria:

Active unrestricted license as a Registered/Advanced Practice Nurse, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant,
Occupational Therapist, Physician Assistant or Physician in the United States

Active involvement in the care of wound care patients, or in management, education or research directly related to wound care
while actively licensed for at least two (2) years full-time or (4) years part-time, within the past (5) years.

Successful graduate of an NAWC® approved “Wound Management Certification Training Course” OR current active certification with WOCNCB as a
"CWON", “CWCN” or “CWOCN”, OR current active certification with AAWM as a “CWS” or “CWCA” OR Documentation of active involvement in the care of wound care patients, or in management, education or research directly related to wound care while actively licensed for at least (4) years full-time within the past (5) years PLUS 50 contact hours in wound care during the same time period.

Note: You must first pre-register with the NAWC® to take a certification exam.
